If We Change the Way We Think About Honor, Could We Make The World a Better Place?
The Honor Code deals with honor’s current place in the world, its widespread societal impacts and the current practice of honor killings. Put together by Focus Forward Films (makers of Heart Stop Beating) and featuring philosopher Kwame Anthony Appiah, the short talks about the evolution of honor-based practices, how people can recognize that something is wrong and still feel honor bound to do it and how the most important thing we can do is learn how to swing honor around so it aligns with morality.
