Biggest Teahupoo Ever was filmed August 27th, 2011 by Chris Bryan and features a nameless surfer* riding an a absolutely colossal wave. Teahupo’o, a village on the southwest coast of Tahiti, is known for waves that can reach up to 70′ in height and, on this day, “the French Navy labeled [its surf] a double code red prohibiting and threatening to arrest anyone that entered the water.”
* If you can find the name of the surfer, please let me know via Facebook or Twitter. I would love to know who this daredevil is.
