Ebru (The Art of Painting on Water)
Ebru, sometimes referred to as paper marbling, is a painting technique where the artist adds paint to water and, by adding more paint or moving the water, is able to change and shape the way the painting develops. Once the artist is happy with their piece, they lay a piece of paper or cloth over the water which absorbs the ink and transfers the painting from the water to the physical material.
