CubeStormer II (Lego/Smartphone Robot Solves Rubik’s Cube in 5 Seconds)
CubeStormer II is a robot built out of four Lego Mindstorms NXT kits and a Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone (that acts as the robot’s eyes and brain). Running a custom app, CubeStormer II is able to solve a Rubik’s Cube in 5.35 seconds. The fastest human record is Felix Zemdegs’ 5.66 seconds. I’m honestly not sure which number I’m more impressed by.
